Laura Wilson, MA, Police Services Specialist
Chief Wilson has been involved with campus policing and public safety for the past 28 years, including 18 years serving as the Chief of the Stanford University Department of Public Safety (SUDPS). SUDPS provides law enforcement, security, and emergency response for the Stanford community, including planning for over 300 special events per year for football games, dignitary visits, concerts, and student parties. Chief Wilson is a member of several public safety associations, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators, and the California College and University Police Chiefs Association, and she has served in leadership roles in the two latter organizations.
Chief Wilson is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, and she holds a bachelor of arts degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and a master of arts degree in Security Studies from the Center for Homeland Defense and Security located at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
