Keith Breskin, MBA, Local Government Specialist
Mr. Breskin has over 30 years of administrative, economic development, and redevelopment experience, including 14 years of experience as a City Manager serving full-service and contract cities of various sizes in five counties throughout California. Prior to his retirement, he served for a total of eight years as a consultant in all aspects of redevelopment finance and development matters, as well as negotiating real estate transactions for local governments. He also served for six years as the Economic Development Director for the City of Monterey Park, California. In addition to his economic development and city management background, Mr. Breskin also has extensive experience in fiscal management, interdepartmental coordination, organizational efficiency, project management, and new program implementation. Since retirement, Mr. Breskin has worked as interim City Administrator for the City of Montebello, California, and interim City Manager for the City of Pacifica, California. During his career, he was a member of the Economic Development Committee of the League of California Cities and the Technical Advisory Committee of the Transportation Agency of Monterey County, and he served as Chairman of the Humboldt County Solid Waste Joint Powers Authority and Chair of the Oversight Board of the former Montebello Redevelopment Agency. Mr. Breskin also served for 10 years on the Board of Directors of a nonprofit organization serving the developmentally disabled. Mr. Breskin has earned a bachelor of arts degree in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles.
